What kind of radios are used in police patrol cars?

I am doing a project for school and I need to know what kind of radios police use in their vehicles and where I can find them priced. Thank you!!!

Usually Motorola radios that are mobile.

They cost around 200-400 brand new.

    Exactly what kind of project are you doing in school that would require you to know what kind of radios law enforcement uses and how much they cost???
