How can I get streamed radio stations in my car radio?

October 5, 2010 - 4:20 am 1 Comment

Many stations around the country have a live streaming audio of their broadcast which you can listen to online at their website, no matter where you are, whether you’re in their terrestrial coverage area or not. Is there any way that I can get these stations on my car radio by using the internet streams?

If you can get internet in your car wherever you go, then it’s plausible. Unfortunately, most internet still needs to be hooked up to the wall or in proximity to a signaling device.

How do the radio stations get their songs?

February 24, 2010 - 7:33 pm 2 Comments

Nowadays I know all the radio stations use computers, I just want to know the name of the service they use and how much it charges!!! THANKS!

Most use Broadcast Programming, Play MPE, or TM Century. None of those companies will sell to anyone except radio stations. Many record labels send CD’s or MP3’s directly to stations.
There are companies that will sell you a hard drive pre-loaded with an entire music library…but again only radio stations can buy them.
