What are the best seats at the Radio City Music Hall venue in NYC?

July 11, 2010 - 8:14 am 2 Comments

I am buying tickets tomorrow for a performance at the Radio City Music Hall. I am seeing my favorite band so I want really really good seats. What is the best section? Is it better to be further back but in the center or closer up and to the side? Please help me out if you’ve been to performances at this venue before.

You can buy Radio City Music Hall online at TicketFront.com . They have best seats at the most reasonable price.

Why is Christian radio music so awful?

July 8, 2010 - 7:45 am 11 Comments

Let’s put the lyrics aside. That is not what I am referring to in this question. But I am a musician/composer/songwriter and when I hear Christian music, I find creativity in the musicianship and song structure to be severely lacking. The melodies often don’t span over an octave with a few but very basic chord changes. Where is the musical creativity? Christian music has to be the most boring and uninspiring music on the radio! Does anyone agree?

LOL I have heard this complaint from so many times from other christians. And as a christian I agree!

Now when i logon to radio music i get this message. Yahoo music unavailable from your location?

I was once able to get the music the it just stopped. Location should have nothing anything to do with BBS radio. My sound card works good

Yahoo and many other streams are only available in the US due to copyright restrictions.

How much are front row tickets at Radio City Music Hall?

July 2, 2010 - 9:35 am 2 Comments

I am going to see the gaslight anthem on the 30th of september at Radio City Music Hall. I am wondering what the price range usually is for the best seats and where those best seats are, as I have never been to New York.

Usually in theaters, orchestra is the best section, towards the center and back about 10 rows at least. You don’t want to be too close or you view is more limited. I grew up in a family who worked in the theater entertainment and that’s what we always did. I’ve been to RCMH but needed to refresh my memory and tried the seating chart on the site, but it was down for maintenance. I think you are safe choosing mid-section orchestra.

If you go to the site, you can see for yourself – choose best seats available and see what they’ve got. And the tickets are listed at $35 with no other prices showing, so I can’t be sure.

I’m looking for a few of the best sites that play a wide variety of good music. I want a lot of underground and indie stuff. Something that will introduce me to new awesome music and play some great stuff I already know.

I use Pandora and NPR already and I was wondering if there are any gems out there waiting to be discovered.

How do musicians make music via radio airplay?

May 27, 2010 - 3:54 am 1 Comment

I’ve always wondered how exactly music is regulated via radio. Do the radio stations pay the artist per every time they play their song? Or do they buy a song at a bulk purchase and can play the songs as many times as they want?

I’ve wondered if there were any radio stations that indulge in some form of piracy.

They buy a blanket license from the 3 major "performance rights" agencies,
ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC. Cost is usually based on revenue and/or market size.
Non-broadcast forms of radio must also pay SoundExchange.

What type radio music do you listen to ?

I listen to Adult Alternative as background while I’m on the computer.Maybe you could suggest some internet radio sites.I like stuff like New Soul.

Lately, I’ve been switching back-and-forth.
Mostly, I like to listen to the oldies … "classic rock."
And then, for a little change, I listen to some good country.
