What kind of radio would be good for picking up stations far away?

My favorite radio stations are 90 miles away and I can barely pick them up,what kind of radio would be good for distance this far away?

Given that 90 miles is not that far for AM or SW, I’m gonna guess you are looking for hints to get FM stations.

If that is the case, the best way to accomplish this is to connect the radio to an outdoor antenna, so any radio with the ability to connect an external antenna would be a decent ‘first try’ at this, If there are ‘challenges’ like stations near the frequency you are trying to receive, selectivity may be an issue, and ultimately different radios will have different sensitivity figures which will impact what you can hear, but I would strongly suggest the FIRST option is to use what you already have, and try attaching a real antenna (like a TV antenna) to the FM input and see if that doesn’t do the trick.

Once you have tried that, you will at least know what the issues are and you can provide further details about what worked and what didn’t so you can start asking more specific questions. Some people may try to tell you ‘this can’t be done’ but that is NOT true, Good luck,

If it doesn’t pick anything up, then obviously you can’t hear them.

Like everyone who’s ever heard Ghost’s voice, I wish to call during the Radio Graffiti segment of his broadcast, True Capitalist Radio, and troll him. How to program new radio stations in 1999 VW Beetle?

I just got a 1999 Volkswagen Beetle and i can not figure out how to have my favorite radio stations set on the radio. The car did not come with the owners manual, and i tried pressing the Program button (while on my favorite radio stations) and then press the number "one" button and it went back to whatever station is set on "one" currently. I tried holding the buttons too. Please help! Thanks (:

My father-in-law is from Los Angeles and has recently moved here to Florida with me and my husband.

I want to be able to listen to a show but the show is no longer aired in my area. So i was wondering if anyone knew of a free online radio downloading program that can be scheduled to automatically download the show at a certain time. I know about down loadable podcast but they are usually just clips from the show.
