How many people hate listening to the radio and music at work?

March 26, 2011 - 4:28 am 4 Comments

A work colleague has his radio on during the entire work day and I get really tired of listening to the radio and music all day. I was wandering if anyone else experiences a similar issue and would rather prefer a quiet work environment without the radio.

What is the connection between the radio and music industry?

March 22, 2011 - 8:06 am 1 Comment

I’m not sure if this is in the right catagory but here goes…. My friend is in the fringes of the radio industry (WCR in Wolverhampton) and he keeps inviting me to help with podcasts and stuff as I want to be music producer and he reckons the contacts would be helpful. So I suppose my question is how will dabbling with radio help me to become a producer? How are the two industries connected?

1. The radio industry requires program material to put on the air. Music is quite popular and comes in many varieties and appeals to many people.

2. The music industry survives by selling their products (records, tapes, etc.) to the public. Radio stations do a very good job of exposing the public to the music industry’s products, thus creating demand. Also, the music creators receive payments from the radio station when their music is played.

Symbiosis?

Know of any good online dance music radio stations that are free?

March 20, 2011 - 11:05 am 2 Comments

I love listening to Proton radio while I’m at work, but it’s been acting up recently. Does anybody know of any good (and free) online dance music radio stations similar to Proton. Even better if it specializes in house music. Thanks.
Even more better if they play continuous mixes rather than just individual tracks (though all suggestions are welcome).

Go to pandora, and type in dance music and theyll give you a station. i think you need to make an account first

What do you think of music on the radio?

I can’t stand it. I love music more then anything but I cant stand music I hear on the radio. When I say radio music I mean the top 40 kind of songs. Am I the only one who doesn’t like it or are there other people who agree with me. If you do like music on the radio what is your reason?

I love listening to my radio station. I listen to the *golden oldies*. They have some sort of rule that a song cannot be played 2 times within either a 12 hr, or 24 hr time.

How to listen to music on an ASIP radio?

March 14, 2011 - 11:25 pm 1 Comment

I have heard there is a way to listen to radio (music) stations using the prc-119 or 148, but I cannot find the specs of those stations to set up my radio to it. Is this just a myth or is it true? Does anyone have ideas or the know how on this?

Sorry I’m not sure but hopefully one of these links might help:

What are the best seats at the Radio City Music Hall venue in NYC?

July 11, 2010 - 8:14 am 2 Comments

I am buying tickets tomorrow for a performance at the Radio City Music Hall. I am seeing my favorite band so I want really really good seats. What is the best section? Is it better to be further back but in the center or closer up and to the side? Please help me out if you’ve been to performances at this venue before.

You can buy Radio City Music Hall online at TicketFront.com . They have best seats at the most reasonable price.

Why is Christian radio music so awful?

July 8, 2010 - 7:45 am 11 Comments

Let’s put the lyrics aside. That is not what I am referring to in this question. But I am a musician/composer/songwriter and when I hear Christian music, I find creativity in the musicianship and song structure to be severely lacking. The melodies often don’t span over an octave with a few but very basic chord changes. Where is the musical creativity? Christian music has to be the most boring and uninspiring music on the radio! Does anyone agree?

LOL I have heard this complaint from so many times from other christians. And as a christian I agree!
