I would like to start a online streaming web site, like radio ( live) and from sever also (podcast),
now i need to know the requirements,
i hv 2Mbps broadband,
and what are the softwares that i need?
and which server ( for streaming) is best?

every hour of radio listenning gives about 21 MB. so if you listen to radio about 3 hours a day thats 63. in a month you will hav used 1764MB which is 1.764GB per month

I currently listen to other people’s female alternative music stations online to find new and upcoming artists that I would like to play on my radio station. However, are there better ways of locating great music from new female artists?

I have internet and no TV so I’m trying to familiarize myself with online radio options.

Download the free audio program called Audacity from:

It will record whatever is currently playing on your PC.

When finished you can do File | Save as mp3

Make sure you have a little experiment first before you record your online radio session.

Well, Here is the scenario: all my friends tell me "Go Into the D.J. Business" or "You should start your own online radio station". I asked them why they want me to do this and they reply with That I am a great D.J. So I want to try to start me own online radio station. Is there any free websites that will allow me to do this?
