During the day I can listen only to local AM radio stations. During the night even radio from other countries.
Why?

I am asking about medium wave radio not short wave radio.

There are a couple of different layers of the ionosphere in play here. The lower layer, called the D layer, tends of absorb radio signals during the day. At night, the Sun is gone and the ionization of this layer ceases. The D layer disappears and signals can pass higher up to layers that refract, rather than absorb signals like the E or F layers.

During the day, MF sky wave prorogation is absorbed and you can only get signals via ground wave propagation. At night, you get the sky wave.

I frequently listen to internet radio. This can be linked up by audio sender from the dining room computer to the aux socket on the lounge HiFi, and could also possibly be heard elsewhere in the house by purchasing dedicated internet radio receivers utilising our wireless broadband connection.
It would therfore appear to be far more cost effective and less restricting if this signal could instead be transmitted via FM in some way to my existing portable radios. Is it possible to utilise and adapt the new MP3/FM car transmitters for this purpose, or is there some other simple means of achieving this?

Go to www.pandora.com and search classical music or a single composer. they play really good music and its a credible site for free

I live like an hour outside of Atlanta…what radio station can I listen to the game on? Its Nate McClouth’s first game with the Braves and I would like to see it, but its not airing on any of the channels I have. So is there a radio station i can listen to it on?

According to the Braves website, the game is either on 640 WGST or Project 9-6-1 if you can get those. Good luck.

Nope. Radio stations obtain the right by the copyright owners of the music to play it. As long as you record and use a section of radio play that has a copyrighted song playing, you are still committing infringement. Not only that, you’re now probably infringing on the radio station unless you get permission from them ALSO, to use their broadcasts.

In my most subtle, non-crime-endorsing opinion, I find it easier to just say screw it and upload whatever. If it gets deleted, oh well. Life goes on.
