When you listen to an online radio how much kilos are downloaded?

February 16, 2010 - 3:25 pm 4 Comments

The service guy from my internet provider said that online radios consume bandstream.
So, say in one hour of listening to an online radio, how much is that? Because my network has a limit (80 giga) on how much to download.
80 giga per month and is already full

I wouldn’t try it at all. The tiny kernel you download will say something like 24 kb in total. But the stream may be 30kb or more a second! It would add up in a few hours.

Is there any way to pick up live radio commentary of the ashes in France?

I will be on holiday and will probably not have any internet access (unless I can somehow connect my laptop through my mobile phone?!?). In case it makes any difference, I will be staying in Tignes.

Very little chance. TMS is restricted within UK. And Radio Australia/ABC is restricted to Oceania/Asia/Pacific. Will have to see if there are any broadcasts once the matches begin.

Can I program my motorola gp340 two way radios to work license free on the cb network?

February 14, 2010 - 3:37 pm 3 Comments

I have a few GP340 UHF Motorola Two-Way radios, which need to be licensed before I can legally use them. I have not yet tried the programming software, but…

Can I set the frequency channels to the PMR channels in the range of: 446.103125 MHz to 446.196875 MHz (UHF)
The power output to: 4W

and legally use the radios without license in the UK?

or not even lower the power? Please advise.

Thanks.

In the UK, you are not allowed to operate any radio on the PMR frequencies over 500 milliwatts. As the minimum power on these radios is 1 watt, you are not supposed to use the PMR frequencies. However, the programming software does allow you to do so.

How to listen to FM radio using samsung c3053 cellphone w/o headset?

February 14, 2010 - 3:37 pm 1 Comment

The manufacturer’s website and the store where I bought the phone said I can listen to FM radio w/o connecting the headset but it does not work. Also, where can I find a manual for the phone with more details because the manual from the site only gives instructions about basics.Does this phone work w/ Windows media player 10 for music sync?

use tv antenna instead..lol.the person who told you that idea is insane because the headset of your mobile serves as the radio antenna.. :D

How can you burn music from online radio to cd?

February 14, 2010 - 3:37 pm 4 Comments

Hi Folks, Is it possible to listen to Itunes online radio and have some software (preferrable free download) extract the audio and then later burn to disk? Thought wave editor (through Nero) might have worked but clashes with Adobe ( I think). Also thought that if a lead came from line out and back into mic or something, that it might work. What software? Jst want some of this Great Itunes radio on disk for my car!

What you need is Audacity (it’s free).

This link will show you how to set the program up, it will work for all online radio and other things like youtube not just myspace.

I want to start an internet radio station. I need to find hosting companies that host streaming audio?

February 14, 2010 - 3:37 pm 3 Comments

I want to start and internet radio station and a lot of hosting companies do not host streaming audio. I went to one that did and found that their customer service lacks tact and patience. I have never tried anything like this before and the program I want to use for the streaming audio needs 50 GB bandwidth. I found with my old hosting company has more than enough bandwidth but does not host streaming audio or video. Any suggestions?

try with hostgator
